Thermal mass#

block

Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#

 Thermal mass block characterizes the ability of a body to keep and absorb heat.

 The calculation of the temperature in the block is performed according to the following equation (1):

(1)#\[ Q=\mathrm{c}\cdot \mathrm{m}\cdot \frac{\Delta\mathrm{T}}{\Delta \mathrm{t}} \]

where:

 \(Q\) - heat flow, [W];

 \(c\) - material specific heat capacity, [J/(kg·ᵒC)];

 \(m\) - mass, [kg];

 \(T\) - thermal mass temperature, [℃];

 \(t\) - time, [s].

 Specific heat type:

 Constant - constant specific heat capacity is used, specified by user in the field Specific heat capacity.

 Table of values - the specific heat capacity obtained based on apolynomial built from the values entered by the user in Specific heat capacity curve and Temperature curve fields is used.

 Material - the heat capacity is used according to the selected material in the associated block Materials properties.
