Shunt reactor#
Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#
The Shunt reactor block simulates a three-phase shunt reactorincluded in load nodes to consume reactive power generated by powertransmission lines and to control voltage in the nodes.
Mathematically, this block is a negative reactance (inductive reactance),calculated as per the following formula (1):
(1)#\[
X_{L}=\frac{U_{\mathrm{н}\mathrm{о}\mathrm{м}}^{2}}{Q_{\mathrm{н}\mathrm{о}\mathrm{м}}}
\]
where:
\(U_{rat}\) - reactor rated voltage, [kV];
\(Q_{rat}\) - reactor rated reactive power, [Mvar].
