Electric traction drive#

block

Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#

The Electric traction drive block consists of the Electric drive and Rotary moment of inertia blocks.

  1. The Electric drive block creates electromagnetic torque and electrical power. It can operate in two modes:

  • Motor (energy consumption).

  • Generator (energy return during recuperation).

  1. Block Rotary moment of inertia — calculates the acceleration and deceleration of the shaft under the action of the total torque.

  2. Power sensors measure instantaneous electrical power in the electric drive.

Key properties and parameters:

  1. Viscous friction — sets the magnitude of the braking torque, which is linearly dependent on the shaft rotation speed.

  2. Regenerative Braking is the mode activation flag. A value of -1 means the drive switches to generator mode during braking, regenerating energy.

  3. Energy calculation — net energy consumption (in kW·h) is determined by integrating the instantaneous electrical power with a coefficient of 1/3600.
