OPC UA Client Settings#

block

Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#

 The OPC UA Client Settings block is intended for implementation into the REPEAT VISION model of an OPC UA client instance to establish communication with an external OPC UA server. The available block properties allow you to configure such a connection in accordance with the required server configuration.

 The client can be set to one of the following security modes:

  • None – messages without digital signature and encryption;

  • Sign – messages are digitally signed, but not encrypted;

  • SignAndEncrypt – messages are signed and encrypted, the most secure mode.

 For the Sign and SignAndEncrypt modes, you can select one of the following cryptographic algorithms:

  • Basic128Rsa15;

  • Basic256;

  • Basic256Sha256;

  • Aes128_Sha256_RsaOaep;

  • Aes256_Sha256_RsaPss (most secure).

 Also available is choice of authorization method: anonymously or using user credentials.

Important

When connecting to the OPC UA server for the first time, an automatic search for Endpoint matching the connection configuration block properties is performed, and a connection is established to the first one. The client also automatically adds the server certificate to the list of trusted ones.

Note

A project may contain multiple OPC UA Client Settings blocks.
