Ideal pressure source (TL)#
Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#
The Ideal pressure source (TL) block models the pressure drop (additional pressure) between its ports, independent of the fluid flow rate.
If the user indicates a negative differential value, the unit simulates additional losses in the area, while its main difference from any types of local resistances remains the independence of the value of this difference from the flow rate.
Note
This block is not a source of fluid flow — if the schematic lacks Reservoir (TL) blocks at the beginning and end of the hydraulic section (a closed loop section can use a single reservoir serving as both the start and end simultaneously), the model will not start the calculation.
The user can specify the pressure drop in two ways, depending on the selected value of the Source type property:
When selecting the
Constantvalue — using thePressureproperty; When selecting the
Variablevalue — by supplying the current required pressure drop value via the automation port at any time.
