Hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell#
Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#
The Hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell block simulates the fuel cell operationthat converts the chemical hydrogen energy into electrical energy.The block is described by the following equations: (1) :
where:
\(E_{cell}\) – Nernst’s tension;
\(E_{OC}\) – idle voltage;
\(N_{cells}\) – number of cells in the module;
A_{taff}$ – Tafel’s coefficient;
\(i_{fc}\) – current through the fuel cell;
\(i_o\) – rated exchange current of the fuel cell;
\(V_d\) – fuel cell capacitive voltage;
\(R_d\) – the sum of activation resistance and concentration;
\(R_i\) – internal resistance;
\(T\) – time constant;
\(N_{units}\) – number of modules activated sequentially;
\(U\) – voltage at the fuel cell output.
