Pump (MF)#

block

Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#

 The Pump (MF) block simulates the operation of a pump according to specified characteristics.

 Law of conservation of mass (1) :

(1)#\[\dot m_1+\dot m_2=0\]

where:

 \(\dot m_1\) – mass flow rate of the medium at the inlet, [kg/s];

 \(\dot m_2\) – mass flow rate of the medium at the outlet, [kg/s].

 Law of conservation of energy (2) :

(2)#\[\phi_1 + \phi_2 + P_{гидр}=0\]

where:

 \(\phi_1\) – energy flow at the input, [W];

 \(\phi_2\) – output energy flow, [W];

 \(P_{гидр}=\frac{\dot m \cdot \Delta h_{из}}{\eta}\);

 \(\dot m\) – mass flow rate of the medium, [kg/s];

 \(\Delta h_{iz}\) – isentropic increase in enthalpy [J/kg];

 \(\eta\) – Efficiency.

 Calculation of pump head (3) :

(3)#\[H=\frac{\Delta P}{\rho \cdot g}\]

where:

 \(\Delta P\) – pressure increase, [Pa];

 \(g\) – acceleration of gravity, [m/s\(^2\)];

 \(\rho\) – density of the medium, [kg/m\(^3\)].
