Modbus Client Settings#
Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#
Important
The blocks Modbus Client Settings, Modbus Write, Modbus Read are available for use only in the local distribution of the REPEAT VISION platform.
The Modbus Client Settings block is necessary to establish a connection between the REPEAT VISION model and a physical device (PLC, sensors, diagnostic systems) or device emulator using the Modbus TCP protocol.
Important
The model in REPEAT VISION with Modbus blocks is always Master—the device sending requests and information. Modbus Client Settings must always be paired with Modbus Write or Modbus Read, or both blocks in the model.
It has settings for connecting to the slave device: IP address, port, connection timeout to the slave, and word order required to determine the byte order of information from the model, write register settings.
Note
A project can have multiple Modbus Client Settings blocks.
