Interpolator#

block

Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#

Interpolator block allows to find unknown intermediate values between the existing values of the input signal. In order to find values, the filter interpolation coefficient K is set (K - 1 points will be added between the available values of the input signal) and the sampling frequency / sampling period (at what frequency / at what time interval the values of the input signal shall be taken) see Fig. 1:

block

Fig. 1 Signal graph#

The block allows to specify three different types of sampling:

  1. Fundamental project frequency decimation - the output signal has a sampling rate N times less than the sampling rate of the project (the inverse of the integration step). Here, N is a given design fundamental sampling rate decimation factor, N ≥ 1.

Note

It is recommended to set N = K for correct operation of the block.

  1. Sampling time is the interval between time points at which the input signal values are sampled.

Note

It is recommended for correct block operation that the value of the specified sampling period shall be equal to the product of the specified interpolation coefficient K by the integration step of the project.

  1. Sampling frequency - sampling rate of input signal values.

Note

It is recommended for correct block operation that the value of the specified sampling rate shall be equal to the partial of division of the project sampling rate (the value inverse to the integration step) by the specified filter interpolation coefficient K.
