Ideal pressure source (IH)#
Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#
The Ideal pressure source (IH) unit simulates pressure differential between its ports independent of fluid flow.
If the user indicates a negative differential value, the unit simulates additional losses in the area, while its main difference from any types of local resistances remains the independence of the value of this difference from the flow rate.
Note
This block is not a source of fluid consumption - if there are no Reservoir (IH) blocks in the diagram at the beginning and end of the hydraulic section (in a closed ring section, one reservoir can be used, which is both the initial and final one) the model will not start the calculation.
The user can set the difference in two ways, depending on the selected value of the Source type property:
When selecting the
Constantvalue – using thePressureproperty; When selecting the ‘Variable’ value, the current value of the required differential is supplied at any time through the automation port.
