Mechanics#
The Mechanics library includes a set of components for modeling mechanical systems of rotational and translational motion.
The library consists of two main sections:
Rotational motion — contains blocks that simulate the rotation of mechanical components, such as the rotation of a motor shaft;
Translational motion — includes blocks describing the translational motion of mechanical elements, for example, the movement of a block along a surface taking into account friction.
Using the library you can model, for example:
Mechanical units of transport systems;
Transmission mechanisms such as rack and pinion and worm gears;
Sources of momentum (e.g. Internal combustion engine) and sources of force for linear motion systems.
Mechanics library integrates with multidisciplinary models developed using the libraries Automation and Electronics, through specialized ports. This provides a comprehensive approach to modeling electromechanical systems where electrical and mechanical energies are converted.
