Mean value (variable frequency)#
Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#
The Mean value (variable frequency) block calculates the arithmetic average value of the input signal during one period of the specified fundamental frequency according to the formula (1) :
where:
f(t) - input signal;
T = 1/f - period of the fundamental harmonic of signal with frequency f.
The frequency f is set as an input signal of the block and may be a variable quantity.
During the first period of the fundamental frequency of the signal, the output value of the block will be equal to the specified initial parameter, because in order to obtain the calculated value, the first period of the fundamental frequency must be completed.
