Converter of translational motion to rotational motion#

block

Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#

 Converter of translational motion to rotational motion block converts the tangential force and velocity on the shaft into a force moment and angular velocity based on the length of the force arm (shaft radius). The block can be connected to both force and velocity source blocks.

 The direction of shaft rotation is controlled by Clockwise rotation corresponds to positive velocity field (1):

(1)#\[\begin{split} T=F\cdot R;\\ \omega=\frac{v}{R}, \end{split}\]

where:

 \(𝐹\) – tangential force, [N];

 \(𝑇\) – force moment, [N \(\cdot \)m];

 \(𝑅\) – shaft radius, [m].
