Two-level PWM generator (three-phase)#
Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#
The Two-level PWM generator (three-phase) block is used to control keys switching in converters. The block calculates the time for closing and opening the keys by supplying three sinusoidal signals (for each phase) and a direct current signal to it. 6 keys control signals are generated at the unit output.
The block uses the principle of continuous pulse width modulation. The signal comparison type is natural.
Natural type of signal comparison#
Outputs of antiphase or 2-level PWM are inversions of each other. The effective output voltage is the average value of the voltage difference. The full positive voltage causes the maximum current change in the positive direction and vice versa. Switching between positive and negative outputs gives a sawtooth pulsation.
