Separator (MF)#
Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#
The Separator (MF) block simulates the operation of a separator and performs separation of the gas and liquid phases. Each phase is directed to the corresponding ports of the block.
Law of conservation of mass (1) :
where:
\(\dot m_1\) – mass flow rate of the medium at the inlet, [kg/s];
\(\dot m_2\) – mass flow rate of gas at the outlet, [kg/s];
\(\dot m_3\) – mass flow rate of liquid at the outlet, [kg/s].
Calculation of pressure losses (2) :
where:
\(P_{in}\) – pressure of the medium at the inlet, [Pa];
\(P_{out}\) – pressure of the medium at the outlet, [Pa];
\(\Delta P\) – pressure drop, [Pa].
