Centrifugal pump (IH)#
Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#
The unit describes the centrifugal pump operation.
Pump pressure increment is described by the formula (1) :
where:
\(\Delta H_{ref}(q)\) – pressure characteristic is determined by volumetric flow rate by square interpolation based on three initial points - maximum head at zero flow rate, nominal head and maximum flow rate at zero head;
\( ho\) – fluid density, [kg/m\(^3\)];
\(g\) – gravity acceleration, [m/s\(^2\)];
\(\omega\) – shaft angular speed, [rad/s];
\(\omega_{ref}\) – reference shaft speed, [rad/s];
\(\frac{D}{D_{ref}}\) – impeller diameter scale factor.
Volumetric flow rate is defined as (2) :
where \(\dot m\) – mass flow rate of liquid, [kg/s].
The shaft force torque is determined by the formula (3):
where \(W_{brake,ref}\) – nominal brake power, [W].
