Heat exchanger (double-pipe) (MF)#
Block appearance in REPEAT VISION#
The Heat exchanger (double-pipe) (MF) block models the process of heat exchange between two media separated by a wall.
Law of conservation of mass (1) :
where:
\(\dot m_A\) – mass flow rate at the input, [kg/s];
\(\dot m_В\) – mass flow rate at the outlet, [kg/s].
Law of conservation of energy (2) :
where:
\(\phi_А\) – energy flow at the input, [W];
\(\phi_B\) – output energy flow, [W];
\(Q\) – heat flow through the wall, [W].
Number of Transfer Units (NTU) (3) :
where:
\(UA\) – overall heat transfer coefficient, [W/K];
\(C_{min}\) – minimum heat capacity of the flow, [W/K].
